Hello beautiful people! Today, I will be talking about the challenges I face as a student blogger. But just before we go into it, can you all see how fast the year is flying by?! Like seriously. It seems like yesterday since we started this year and just like that, we are in August. How come?! Anyways we moooove. So yea, like I said before, today, I’ll be talking about the challenges I face blogging. If you know me well, you’ll know that blogging is a passion for me. I love blogging and it is by far the best decision I have ever made. But, nothing comes without challenges right?! Below are the challenges I face as a student blogger.

Not enough time
I feel like every blogger can relate to me when I say time is one of the most crucial factors when it comes to blogging. For a fact, blogging takes up as much time as a 9-5 job. While time is a challenge to a lot of bloggers, I struggle even more when it comes to having enough time because I juggle blogging with university.
On a normal day, I have lectures from 8am-4pm with little breaks in between. Sometimes, classes extend till 6pm and after a long day at school, all I want to do is just relax. I relax a little and then I realize I have tons of assignments to complete. I complete my assignments and I’m tired as hell but I know I have to write a blog post or do some updating and all that.
Also, the main reason why I don’t reply to comments on my blog is because I hardly ever have the time to. I try my best to manage it all but sometimes, the fact that I do not have time on my side affects the blog.
I know a lot of bloggers who juggle blogging with a full time job which is very similar to juggling blogging with school and it always makes me happy to see them nailing it. If you are juggling blogging with a full time job and you need tips to cope, my friend Alicia, has a whole post on how to manage a successful blog while working!
The stress from juggling both is insane
Like I said before, I juggle blogging with university and it’s stressful as hell. It’s so difficult to not get stressed when juggling two things as tedious as university and blogging. As I keep progressing through university, things get more stressful and sometimes, the stress is too much for an almost 19 year old to handle. I am currently in my third year in the university and boy?! the stress is crazy as hell. I am always looking for ways to avoid overstressing and prevent burnout because in the end, me and my health matters the most. I want to cultivate the habit of taking blogging breaks as often as required so that I don’t burnout.

This is something I really struggle with. I have never really been a social media person. Before I created this blog in November last year, I never had an active personal social media account. Tho, I feel like managing my social media account boils down to time as managing social media accounts can take time which I currently don’t have.
RLG has 4 social media accounts and I have found that trying to actively build all 4 at the same is overwhelming for me. I have been trying to look for a strategy to help me build and manage my social media accounts and I have decided to focus on one or two platforms at a time (let’s say twitter and pinterest) and move to others after I have gotten enough traction.
Aside the three challenges I mentioned above, my blogging experience has been amazing. I have learnt a lot and I have added to my skillset. There are a lot of things I have become a professional at all thanks to blogging. One of the things I love about blogging aside from it being a creative outlet where I can lend my voice is the fact that blogging helps me acquire new skills. I’m all for adding more skills to my skillset haha! Tho blogging is fun, there are challenges attached to it.
