Practice self love
I feel like being confident about your body is a result of self love. In my opinion, everything starts to fall in place when you start to truly, genuinely love yourself. You don’t have to be the most perfect person on planet earth to love yourself. In the same way, your body doesn’t have to be perfect to earn your love. Imperfections are beautiful and if you love yourself, you will love, accept and appreciate your body regardless of how imperfect it is. Imagine how dull and boring life would be if everything was just perfect. Our bodies might not be perfect but practicing self love and genuinely loving ourselves can make us look beyond the flaws and in general make the flaws look insignificant. So start practicing self love!
Use positive affirmations
I love positive affirmations a lot. While they may not solve all your problems, they help, they work and they are an amazing way to be more positive about your self, your body, your life and everything in general. When you wake up in the morning, go look at your body in the mirror and just gush about yourself and your body. Do that for 30 days straight and confront me if your overall impression of yourself and your body doesn’t improve. Positive affirmations are a great way to improve your body confidence. Below are some positive affirmations for body confidence.

Social media?! Tho social media has its benefits, there’s a lot of fakeness out there. Believe it or not, social media is nothing near real life. There are a lot of body perfect people on social media right? Should I shock you with the fact that a lot of images on social media are photoshopped? Once, I got to see an unedited, unfiltered, not photoshopped version of someone who seemed to be all glam and fabulous on social media and boy was I shocked? Forget what you see on social media. No one is perfect. The goddess like bodies you see on social media ain’t perfect either. Everyone’s body has some level of imperfection and that’s fine!
Get clothes that enhance the parts of your body that you admire
We all have those parts or features of our body that we adore and would kill to keep. You know what? If you have long legs and toned thighs, get an outfit that enhances and makes those features obvious. I have very beautiful shoulders and I have nice, lovely, cute outfits that bring out my lovely shoulders. Wearing an outfit that enhances the parts of your body that you admire can give your confidence level a crazy boost! So go for it. Go get that dress that brings out that part of your body that you adore.
Stop comparing your body to that of others
Comparison like we all know is a thief of joy. STOP comparing your body to someone else’s body. Your body is special, amazing, and worth being treated with love. No matter how nice anyone’s body seems, it is not 100% perfect. Your body is beautiful in it’s own way and it doesn’t have to look like anyone’s body. Instead of comparing your body to that of others, constantly appreciate your body. Write down all the things you love about your body and be grateful for the amazing body you have.
Ditch the “my body is not good enough mindset”
Change your mindset and the approach you have towards your body. Baby, your body is fabulous! Instead of saying there’s a new dress out now. Everyone’s wearing it and they look great. I would love to wear it as well but there’s so much fat in my stomach it wouldn’t look good on me. Say there’s a new dress out now. Everyone’s wearing it and they look great. I would get it for myself as I would look absolutely beautiful and drop dead gorgeous in it. Be kind to your body. Your body is beautiful and it deserves some accolades. You can run away from everything else but you can’t run away from your body. It remains with you forever. So who’s at loss if you don’t love your body? Come on girl/guy. You’ve got this. You have a unique, fantastic and gorgeous body irrespective of the imperfections. Accept that!
