I love being productive! I run on productive highs and I always want to be productive. So I decided to share some tips I use to be more productive. To be honest, I absolutely loathe the feeling I get when I am not productive haha. But while it is good to be productive, I try my best to take things easy as productivity doesn’t necessarily mean working your ass off. So many people find it difficult to be productive. I have been there. I used to struggle with being productive and it sucks like CRAZY! Below are tips I use to be more productive.
Go for morning walks
Did you know that morning walks play a significant role in increasing your energy levels? A little walk to start your day can reduce tiredness and leave you feeling energized and ready to take on the whole day! I love morning walks a lot. Not only do they keep me energized, they improve my mood, clear my mind and help me start my day on a clean note as well!
I love setting goals. Setting goals are a great way to give yourself a direction. A life without a goal is a life without direction. Setting goals help you create a solid structure and plan for your life. It improves your focus thereby making you much more productive and if you are looking for tips on how to achieve your goals, I got you covered as I have a whole post dedicated to that!
Limit your social media use
Social media can be a huge time waster and a big source of unproductivity! So many times, I have found myself aimlessly scrolling through social media when I am meant to be doing something important. Tho, social media has it’s benefits, it can considerably reduce your productivity if used wrongly so limit your social media use. And if possible, have a schedule that controls your social media use.
Keep your workspace organized and clutter free
Clutter? I and clutter are sworn enemies. I find it difficult to be productive when there’s clutter. In my opinion, a clean, organized and clutter free workspace is a productivity must have. An organized and clutter free workspace will make your mind clearer, help you think better and increase productivity! So make sure your workspace is always organized, in order and in good shape!

Use to-do lists
Have I ever mentioned that I love to-do lists? Oh boy! to-do lists are life savers. If you are looking to be more productive, you should use to-do lists. To-do lists are a big source of motivation for me and they make me want to get things done. Also, the sense of fulfillment that comes with ticking off the completed items on my to-do list is insane! While to-do lists are amazing for productivity, you won’t be productive if you don’t plan your to-do list well. So take your time to create a to-do list that would boost your productivity.
Get enough sleep
The importance of getting adequate amount of sleep can never be overemphasized. Most times, when I don’t get enough sleep, I find myself feeling sleepy and unnecessarily lazy throughout the day. Getting adequate amount of sleep will help you think better, be more agile and more productive in general. I never used to have a healthy sleep routine but I recently started to up my sleeping game. So far, it has been wonderful and I wake up every morning feeling extremely refreshed and ready to start my day on a high.
Create time for yourself
Even when trying to be productive, it is important to create time for yourself. If you are trying to get every other thing done while neglecting yourself, then you’ll most likely not achieve anything at all. Spending time with yourself has a lot of benefits from improving your mental health to helping you be more productive.
Breaks are a necessity. As important as it is to be productive, it is also important to take breaks and rest. Taking breaks in between work helps you regain your strength, unwind and be more productive in general. I take breaks in between work all the time and the break makes me come back feeling even more refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of the items on my to-do-list.
Don’t beat yourself up
We all have those days where we are unable to tick every item on our to-do-list and that’s fine. The truth is no one is always productive and it is impossible to be productive 24 hours a day everyday for days on end. There will always be days where our productivity levels are on level zero and that’s fine. On days when you are unable to tick every item on your to-do-list and on days when your productivity levels are low as hell, do not beat yourself up. No one is always productive and there’s always another day to get productive and smash the items on your to-do-list!
